From what we've seen so far, I don't see any major differences, nor has there been any advertising of particulars. It's so confusing. I actually like all the girls of Regloss, but for the life of me, I just cannot understand why Cover didn't just introduce them as JP7.

Regloss is going to frequently collab with Holostars. Management isn't ready to add that into the main Hololive branch so they made a new side branch.

I feel like they want to experiment and do few things differently it seems with them, no I'm not talking about homocollabs, although it's a possibility.
Shit like gen collabs done on their own channel etc, feels like they want to make them seem more as one unit with actual precise goal, while keeping them fairly similar, idol-like streamer chuubas, idk it's just my ramblings.

The only explanation I can think of for them not being JP7, is that the last few JP gens have gone wild with cartoonish themes... like a bunch of animals, a dragon, an angel, a whole secret society bent on world conquest, and so on and so forth.
Meanwhile these 5 new hires are just "normal" cute girls with theming that is way less in-your-face than usual, so they probably thought they wouldn't fit the main branch's mold, I guess?

there are still more themes for new girls, nobody is a CEO or banchou yet for their starting lore so ririka and hajime still works for JP7 just need to improve hajime's design
my theory is they just want to try doing less idol gen judging from radna's likes (smoking and drinking, smoking is NG for idols)

Hololive = focused on the individual talent, involvement with their gen is secondary
De_vis = focused on the gen unit, involvement as an individual streamer is secondary
Incidentally this saves them time in holofes with Regloss taking up slots as a unit rather then another 5 individual peformances

Basically the branding and also the strange forced-looking outreach to the homos make it seem different.

How I see this personally is if there is an actual JP7 real-deal -on top- of this then this is clearly the weird experimental/novice type branch in addition to the safe-bet main gens. That, would be pretty fucking great. If this is basically JP7 but just isn't called it then nah it seems to have some fundamental missteps all around and I wouldn't be so sure about it.

In what form they will truly distinguish themselves from the rest, time will tell. For now it just seems more brazen than the rest but that might just be the debut script and the chuubas themselves.
