The problem is that streaming itself is inherently parasocial to the maximum, and it appeals to a horny audience. Streaming is called streaming and not camming because the latter would have an association with sex work. However, streaming is a less suited label for what it is, because streaming normally would have implied streaming pre-recorded media, which it still does to make things confusing. So streaming as we know it is really just camming, which was pioneered as a sexual interactive media. That's why women streaming are consistently sexualized and asked if they have a boyfriend, and likewise why vtubers are equally sexualized. You can only break away from that if what you do is more than just streaming, and you actually produce something of value that is worth looking at when it isn't live. For some, they have clippers to thank for broadening their appeal, for others they have great singing talent.
