This may not clear any of this issue up but this is wut I know.
Joe has not used Air Force One as call sign on every single trip he has been aboard the 747 and 757's. He also was not picked up on a 99th Airlift Squad AC as POTUS was upon heading to DC for the 2017 Innaug. Fauxtus was delivered to DC in a private chartered AC-not one that would befit an incoming rightly elected President.
There has been some confusion over the use of AF1 for Fauxtus (Biden) and POTUS.
This pf has AF1 used for the last time by POTUS on 030220 for a trip to Charlotte, NC for a rally the night before Super Tuesday.
These are the last caps I have with POTUS using AF1 as a call sign-cap#2-3
AF1 was used on the 747 for the European trip the week before as well-cap#4 approaching Ramstein AFB on 022520
Since March 2nd, 2020 I have not seen AF1 used as a dedicated call sign for either-if anyone has a cap of POTUS using AF1 as a call sign after March 2nd 2020 please provide. I think this request was made in general and via soc. media and I have not seen one.
On October 22nd 2020 this pf observed the AF1 call sign flashed once while the 747 on ground at John Wayne Airport in Orange Cty CA-during a stop-over for a fundraiser. It arrived from an overnight at Las Vegas. I could not catch a cap for it but I did see it once.
Back to Not AF1 Joe-the current administration can (and should have) put this entire issue to bed with a display of AF1 on the AC transporting this current occupant.
The fact that they do not is down to two reasons: they can't (this) or won't (why wouldn't you?).
The AC's transporting any POTUS are required to be flown by US Air Force pilots and they are usually responsible for the input of the call sign-this is true for almost any AC.
I think wut we have here is that these pilots (and many moar FTM) know that Joe is not a duly-elected POTUS so they are not going to input the AF1 call sign as it would not be a true representation of who is actually on-board. Add in the various non-salute issue, the backs of the military being displayed to the passing motorcade on Jan 20th and you just about have a story that tells you that Joe in not being recognized by the 82nd Airborne Wing that is responsible for transportation-they are just playing a role.
