Her original Hololive bio even pointed out that less people were dying due to medical advancements. There weren't any 'causes' like revolutions or wars as big as the past. Mori hit a stage where existence was just kind of boring/confusing, so she sought out more. For her, it was connecting more with humanity. It's a pleasant surprise that prolonging a life wasn't punished. But that could also be due to her rank. She gets more freedom to make those calls.
To cap it off, maybe I don't want to see how she met every other EN because there's so much potential for good stories and I'd want to read a bunch of them.
