The argument we should actually care about is whether consuming/creating lolicon content is supposedly problematic or not. Doesn't matter if it appeals to pure 2D lolicons or pedos as long as the content itself is limited to fiction.
If it appeals to pure lolicons, great, no one harmed. If it appeals to pedos, great, they now have a harmless outlet for potentially problematic desires.
I don't understand any reasoning for trying to cancel/ban lolicon or what it could possibly "solve". It ain't gonna magically make all the people attracted to it poof out of existence.
But yeah people who use lolicon as a thinly veiled excuse to try and normalize creeping on ACTUAL kids is where gatekeeping should happen imo. It's best left strictly as a one-way street into fiction/fantasy, but of course there's always gonna be bad actors.
