>>58585560I think it helps that Mori and Kiara stream a fuck ton for the EN branch. They may do JP activities on the side but they're still well aware that they're in the English branch of Hololive and its their primary demographic.
Meanwhile, Meloco and Kotoka stream nowhere near as much in comparison and just seem to treat corporate vtubing as a part-time job/hobby. And their reasons for joining an EN branch seemed like more of a way to bypass Nijisanji's training academy, and by god it shows with how Kotoka apparently spent half of her Fallout NV stream translating it in Japanese, or how she handled Nijisanji's baseball interviews not translating enough answers for EN. Or both of them use a ton more Japanese in their video titles than they ever did in the past.
