>>5874879Being an idol in Japan is sometimes seen as a stage in ones life to learn to cherish memories and grow into someone and one day "graduate" and move on with your life this is more the 3d life version but early vtubers were seen as idol cause they were like the anime idols who sang and performed and some held this sentiment. Graduation from all vtubers always feels like this they say to enjoy the moments that happened and smile and wish happiness as they move on with their lives.
Also If you watched Japanese media they have an obsession with creating things around transience. Huge events like graduating highschool, getting a new job, someone dying, bf/gf getting or breaking up change and drastically shape the person this feeling of accepting and moving on from the fleeting of time they love.
This could possibly not be true but this is just my thoughts on why Japan likes to use the word graduate from someone who watches girl idols and Japanese media
