Sports Festival was actually a well planned event. Summer festival was people fucking around a plaza with some mazes and Miko running a stall.

Sports fest was a far better event, but EN/JP crossover was a pretty important development.
I know nothing about mc, is it possible to get servers that comfortably handle this many players in one place? If it is, wtf are they doing?

Yes it is, there are many community driven MC servers with dozens of mods installed that can handle a hundred players without any issues. Cover are either just cheap whores or have no clue how to properly set them up. Quality MC servers aren't even that expensive.

SF was organized better and not so chaotic in terms of lag and POVs. Also, all the stages were similar in quality, which made them all fun.

Summer festival had a better buildup and atmosphere, plus it had the buff of being a farewell party for Coco and the first large-scale 3-branch collab (besides that single amongus match)

Loved both for diffferent reasons.
Sports festival felt like an amime episode, everything well organized and things going on perfectly
Summer festival felt like an actual summer festival, some things didnt work and there was chaos but people had fun and made the most of it.

The planning, the competition, the narration... way better than building random stuff and not being able to see how it works due to lag. It also looked like EN getting a tour instead of a proper festival
