>>58914559It is vague and ambiguous, and it isn't an exact definition which is why it's hard to explain at times (especially when phenotypes and ethnic groups differ within the same country (especially so in china)). In this case I am not arguing based on culture either but purely on phenotypes belonging to certain ethnic groups.
>And if he doesn't speak or think chinese then no native chinese person would consider him chinese either, so it wouldn't work to put them under the same label. This is an issue for many kids or people with mixed cultural, ethnic and racial background. They do not feel they belong to either but is another issue entirely.
It's somewhat of an individual definition within the group's collective understanding where the cutoff for belonging to said group lies, but I think it is apparent for most people that a first generation mixed kid with slanted eyes, straight hair, brown eyes and a different skin complexuib is very different from white, blonde and fair eyed people. If he gets kids or not and they pass as norwegian I don't know.
And I assume it is much the same for the rest of the world.
