3DAS' version of SM64 uses a poorly-compiled ROM of the game, which causes rounding errors in the code that handles geometry, meaning that walls are taller than they should be, ledges extend and exist where they shouldn't, and tighter platform sections are a nightmare if you don't already know where to jump. There's also a mild input delay that doesn't exist even on the original native hardware, which is, y'know, the kind of shit you want in your ancient 3d Platformer.
I was going to also complain about the camera (they inverted it from the original but didn't implement an analog camera) but apparently a patch fixed that.
