>>5899768Because there are many newfags who don't watch member streams, I will do a quick recap:
- After the Taiwan incident, Hololive's internal rules got changed and management became more careful to avoid such incidents.
- Haachama and Kaichou were hit hard by restrictions. Coco was pissed off enough in public to mention how they blocked her talking to EN, and they would always imagine the worst of her.
- Coco decided to graduate because she said she can't make people smile if she doesn't smile. Other members like Fubuki and Yagoo tried negotiating with her, but Coco still wanted to leave. Her requests also got greenlit, like finally talking to EN and having her videos stay.
- Yagoo made the effort to appear on her show personally, and also indicated she could return for special occassions.
So yeah, while everything started from the Taiwan incident, how everything unfolded and everyone reacted, was very human and understandable. In hindsight, anyone could say Cover over-reacted, but their paranoia was because they had a big enough of a bite (losing an entire branch and market). They did some good-faith negotiation at the end, but Coco probably decided she'd enjoy working for herself more. She said in member stream that she would not work under any other agency again. All this is public knowledge.
