Their clip channel is unfocused and doesn't upload often enough to get good algorithms either. Their EN twitter only tweets EN and clip content so it doesn't pull in EN viewers who care more about JP. Compare that to the Hololive EN twitter, which also tweets out translations of JP schedules, etc to pull in viewers who care more about JP and expose them to the EN branch.
They just do such a god awful job at getting their name out there, which is why other companies dominate the western scene despite Nijisanji being such a big name.
