But a certain fellow I work with, not a friend, but a close associate one might say, for about ten years give or take
Ive been able to hide my powerlevel well enough for all the years, dating back to when anime was still passed around in bootleg videotapes
And this here associate of mine, he's a goddamned "boomer" through and through, God-fearing, apolitical, dislikes Muslims and Russians and Italians but not overtly racist, went through two divorces, got two sons, yadda yadda, your typical American you don't hear in the TV much anymore, since technically he's pretty boring
You would never ever expect him to be a weeb, though I have never once brought up Japanese media in front of him, and he has never once brought up the subject himself, even to diss it (as a powerlevel fag you get used to having to fake it)
But just last week I caught him looking at his iPad, listening to earphones and lying down, and on the screen was youtube. And you know what the picture was? Gura's ASMR stream a few months back. Now, I didn't see the title, but the image there definitely was that of Gura sleeping on that memmber stream. I dont recall if there are other videos of Gura with that exact picture.
Regardless, Ive never brought it up with him, that I discovered he was probably a membershrimp, or whatever. Business is too important to make jokes like that. Im prepared to give away my power level if he brings it up, but I wont push.
I bring this to you because it made me realize you can never actually expect the people who like anime or other "weaboo" shit. And now you never really expect the kind of people who would sub to Gawr Gura, English vtuber, and her ASMR stream. Who knows? That random woman you pass on the street might be some rabid gurame fan or whatever.
