>>5953068It’s a vicious cycle.
>small companies are, well, small>can’t get enough regular people to take a shine to them >consequently can’t get enough autists to likewise >clips aren’t made, songs aren’t made, artwork isn’t made, numbers aren’t made >the few people that care about them spend more time complaining that nobody produces anything for them like for bigger companies than, well, producing it Success in VTubing correlates with the enthusiasm of the fanbase, that’s why not even saviorfagging can save a talent with an apathetic fanbase.
Haachama and Aki share a lot of similarities: same gen, approx same debut date, very similar design. The one thing that propelled Haachama sky high that Aki didn’t manage to replicate was
>HaatonCoco was very proud by the fact KiryuKai did her whole song for her (and didn’t charge, although she wanted them too and they should, to allow for KiryuKai without the same talent to be able to contribute at least with the SC money).
Haachama?
>Haaton made her OP song and animation>Haaton made her ED song and animation>Haaton made pretty much every short video of hers (both animation and MMD, which she masterfully edits and voices)That plus the cosplay contests, the Minecraft contests, food contests, video contests.
Most if not everything she shows in her channel is either her playing games, singing or it’s made by Haaton and it’s a virtuous cycle that pulls in talented people (like REDAlICE) that seizes the chance to help their oshi while getting exposure.
Aki, as far as I follow, didn’t manage to get this much involvement by her audience. Same thing for these smaller companies and indies, the best thing their fans could do is
>make fan content Numberfagging likewise, it may sound silly but even the putting your oshis name out there (out here) by highlighting their numerical strengths (even if relative) can help too. Like anons said, small company fans should complain less and start pumping out content
