I don't even get the point of it. He "covers" everything by giving a 20 second summary, little to no commentary, and then moving on to the next event. I feel like if he wanted to do a "Year in Review" type video, he should have made it 2 hours and fully fleshed out the stories, or just not done it at all. Either would be better than half-assing it.

I seriously don't get who watches Genshin streams. I'm literally a day 1 player with just a few months of welkin and have a fully loaded kit of C1/C2 5 stars with 5* weapons (all archons, C1 Hutao, C2 raiden, C2 nahida, C1 Yelan, C6 of all OG 4*), but this game has to be the most boring thing you could possibly stream. Story is a clusterfuck that is better off being explained by one of the proper lore youtubers, daily grind is repetitive and braindead, events are awful content that takes 5-10 minutes, only "good" content is rolling artifacts or doing spiral abyss.
Gacha can be addicting to play, but it is horrible stream content. It's almost as bad as Star Rail: I will go through every map and kill every mob for the exp and credits, but I'll be damned if I bother watching a streamer go through that shit.

Most Genshin streams that get good views are streams by vtubers who are good at zatsu. In other words, gacha streams are glorified zatsu streams aimed at fans who are also into the game but that (ideally) can give fans who don’t give a shit about Genshin something to listen to in the background as well.
