I've been following Kurai for a few months now. I enjoy most of her content and have gone back to watch a couple of her VODs (which I rarely do for any vtuber), but there are quite a few concerns I have in the back of my head that are stopping me from diving in headfirst and showing up to all her streams. She's most likely going to end up reading this thread, so I might as well just dump a bunch of honest feedback that she can think about or ignore.
You've invested a lot of money and time into your redebut and it's clear that you want to pump up those numbers and make some of those funds back. You're definitely interested in taking sponsorships, but you're setting yourself up for failure with the things you put out there on your socials. Advertisers aren't going to want to associate with someone going too far into edgy territory. Discord isn't as private as you think it is. You don't have a corpo to represent you. It'll be harder and harder to change your reputation the longer it goes on. You don't need to sanitize yourself, just tone it down a bit.
I'm worried you're going to get banned off another platform again. I know the Twitch thing was some random bullshit that you had no fault for, but there's no excuse for losing your previous Twitter account. You need to carefully consider what you say or do in the future, especially when you consider you have antis that are going to pounce on anything they see.
Your Discord community isn't in a good state right now, there's a huge disconnect between things there and on stream. You bought the ads, got a whole lot of new /vt/ viewers that see you appealing directly to them, then they see you set the vibe, and behave as expected. Hours before your debut you suddenly introduce a bunch of rules that tell this /vt/ core that they shouldn't call each other niggerfags too much or hornypost in general. This should have been something you did weeks ago. For now, I don't think this is going to leak into your streams where it actually matters, but we'll see how it goes after your redebut.
For the love of God, please don't scrap your plans for Twitch. I know you've got an oiler or two that have a hateboner for the platform for some reason, but don't let that steer you away. Youtube is fucking garbage for growth as an EN and you're going to be actively handicapping yourself for exclusively streaming there. Think of all those vtubers with big numbers on Twitch that you want to have meaningful interactions with. You're not going to be able to raid them, they're not going to raid you. When you score a collab with someone big, do you really want half their viewership to follow your dead Twitch account that you only pull out for collabs? You've probably settled on multi-streaming for now so this might not even matter, but in the future you'll have to choose one or the other.
You have a lot of potential for growth and I don't want to see you squander it. You're really good at reaching out to vtubers and connecting with them in collabs, I've seen two of my favourite vtubers collab with you for the first time and I could tell right away you got them to loosen up in an instant. You're that cool black friend that people want to have around. This is your special skill that you need to continue using.
I'll be watching you here and there as I've been doing for the past while. Congratulations on the redebut, and good luck in the next stage of your vtubing career.
