Gura happened to "earn" it the same way all her predecessors "earned" where they are today. She said the right things, looking the right way, at the right time, for this exact outcome. So did everyone else.
She completely deserves where she is, because that's how things played out. Bad actors exist in politics just like in real life, sure, but in chuubas it's a little different in the sense that nothing she did was bad-acting.
She just said "a" and looks like a cute and funny shark. That's good enough to earn 3million subs, apparently. Blame the rest of the world for not having your exact taste, but don't deny that Sora, roboco, mel, aki, etc. don't have the "low" subs they have because that's who they are.
They're all pretty good, their content is great, and that's what leads to the subcounts they have (which are all great). Making specifically you happy isn't "deserving," as much as I honestly wish it was.
