Damn, didn't think people would get pissed off at my statement on public transit/infrastructure. I should probably add that there are multiple facets to the issue related to real estate, poverty, economic corruption, etc.
However, the "easiest" solution would be to simply raise the ground elevation of the entire eastern seaboard to the heights of Denver, Colorado. Because high elevations can easily cause death for those with obesity, the weak would be weeded out. In addition, high elevations force the human body to become more oxygen efficient leading to a higher BMR(Base Metabolic Rate) which also leads to weight loss.
Please take this statement with a pound of salt cause I know there would be more consequences to this.
