>>59922481The 2% thing happened very shortly after nyanners left my friend. Like within a week of each other. Contract negotiations were changed around the same time as the "leak" . You're more than welcome to look it up.
>>59922806I'm not taking any negative assumptions at all. In fact I gave cover the benefit of the doubt that they split the superchat revenue 50/50 after YouTubes cut which would be 35% to them and 35% to the talent. You can of course assume more but 35% is the industry standard given by prism, idol and I believe phase connect.
And yes I bring up the contract negotiations because they happened literally around the same time. Nyanners left around April 30th- May 1st the "leaks" came out around the 9th. We know thanks to ksons streams around that same time including after her tweet, that nyanners departure allowed the remaining members to renegotiate contracts and that ksons contract was quite ludicrous even for a talent of her size since again I must remind you that vshojo ONLY takes from the merch that vshojo produces. We also know that kson rarely talks about or makes reference to her time in hololive. She respects her nda a lot and rightfully so because Japanese laws are brutal.b
And yes the 2% figure came from a dramatuber, no multiple Nijis haven't spoken out about it. Mysta made a joke on stream about it and the illiterate ESLs of SEA assumed it was true. Outside of mysta's joke there exists a reply in Japanese made by kuzuha back in 2018 or 2019 when the company was first starting out about how little his merch made him.
This tweet could have been fact, it could have been a joke, it could have been anything in between because the response he replied to was deleted and on top of that the company has gone through major changes since then. 2018 and 2018 were actually pretty rough for nijisanji, the majority of the graduations in nijisanji happened in that time period and there were a few different reasons for it honestly.
A: nijisanjis style of vtubing was seen as lazy to some, people compared them to others like Kizuna Ai and Kaguya Luna who had full 3d body tracking and performed large skits and etc to the stiff live 2d avatars that were used by nijisanji and weren't impressed at first.
B: vtubers were still pretty niche. There were only a handful and the ability to become a vtuber was inaccessible for most due to the crazy cost of the equipment that had become associated with vtubers of that era
C: the company didn't really have much to offer outside of a promise that one day it might get big.
I'm not arguing at all in bad faith in fact quite the opposite. I pointed out that talents from hololive had recently as of this year talked about how merch often didn't go as far as superchats to which you immediately started going
>d-doesnt count! K-kson.....JP !!!!!attempting to find any sort of plausible flaw in the argument while ignoring the reality that you've been quoting a guy who has used rrats from /here/ for "legitimate" sources, a girl who as much as I enjoy, has become so entitled that she believes she should be paid more than half of the money for a product that her company is responsible for creating and eats the entire costs of production for.
Every single one of your arguments can easily be dismantled using the words spoken by more than one of your talents themselves, you just don't like that idea.
