Between reds (fully linear) and blues (the tactile clicky) I find them much closer to reds. I'm not a fan of them, but clearly many people are. My preference for tactile and not clicky is Topre, but you are getting into a different price range with those boards ($200+ minimum) and the most popular ones (HHKB, one of which Reine has) uses a slightly different layout than "normal" keyboards.
Many of the switches are just equivalent to or very slightly different than another one. For your first board I would just find something with Gateron switches (much cheaper than Cherry and of approximately the same quality) and see if it's something you care enough about to go deeper into.
Red - linear/light
Black - linear/heavy
Brown - light/slightly tactile
Clear - heavy/somewhat tactile
Blue - light/tactile
Green - heavy/tactile
