I love how vtubers are expected to retire in their 20s, while most people work until they're pushing 70. The industry is so young that you're considered a "veteran" when you've streamed for less than 5 years. In any other field that would be unthinkable.

It's true, but Council and Advent aren't immune either. Kronii also completely squandered her potential, and Sana literally didn't stream. Bae is a similar situation to Kiara. Nerissa is doing a speedrun along the same lines, and Shiori is another Kiara-like.
