It would be cool if Ame and Gura were friends. They aren't even remotely close, sadly.
Ame has to be the loneliest hololive streamer ever. The only person who could come close would be that indie fox girl "Lily Parchment" or something like that. Except she has been getting adopted by other indies in recent months and they're teaching her how to act like a human around others.
Ame never had that luxury, so she's been beating herself up over being weird for years. Someone, anyone, be friends with Ame. Everyone deserves at least one friend...

I don't mind male collabs. There are a lot of funny dudes out there and I like to laugh. Even streaming once a month would be more than we got this year lol. Jokes aside, she most likely would have a more active schedule since it would be a proven career path and not a side-thing.

And Gura stopped streaming right before their contracts ran out, and has only done Gura activities on actual special occasions since. She's never been quiet on everything for this long, even on her 2 month health hiatus she would post on twitter/like things.

Most of her current viewers are too casual and wouldn't even know if she picked up a new life, or won't step outside of the blue dorito zone, plus if she graduates now after how shitty she's been lately I don't think that many people will stick around for a round 2, she would take a big hit.

Are you forgetting the “uh oh!” tweet and the buzz that it caused? Of course, she didn’t capitalize on the buzz, but to say she would not regain even 5% of her audience or that know one knows or cares is unbelievably misinformed about how intertwined Gura and her past identity are in the minds of the fans. Her song Reflect probably helped in solidifying the connection because the lyrics seem to allude to that kind of identity struggle
