>>60200442autism is defined by an inherent lack of understanding/feeling for social norms and how to navigate social relationships
as such there are two types of autistic people that exist:
1. autists who respond to their lack of understanding by just obliviously steamrolling through social situations and confidently (or even obnoxiously) go out of their way to interact with people with total disregard for social barriers/expectations/norms because it doesn't occur to them - holos like Kaela fall into this category where they may not even be aware of their own weirdness and will interact with anyone because of it (I would argue that Kiara also fall into this category but that's debatable)
2. autists who are aware of their own different-ness and who have probably had severely negative social experiences in the past; these autists will just simply shortcut the entire conundrum and trouble of making relationships/suffering through social interactions they don't understand by going full schizoid/avoidant and just not interacting with anyone - if you never interact with anyone you never have to get hurt (i.e. the hedgehog's dilemna)
