It wasn't even neccesarily the lyrics. It was just the tone and vibe. It's like thought poetry or something. It makes me think of a more innocent time and suddenly I'm aware of how much time has passed and how much I've lost and it's like I can't find myself. Like I wasn't supposed to be this person.
Like I'm really just a kid with a lantern and what I consider to be the 'adult' me is just an artiface I cobbled together from scraps around me to numb and protect myself and survive a world that wasn't like the one they promised me. All I did was grow older and everybody fucking abandoned me. But I'm still in here man. Why can't anybody see me.
