In the US, tips are part of the culture, so sending a 5, 10 or whatever supa, to a streamer may feel like the same thing. Meanwhile, EU doesn't have anything like it, so there is maybe a dissonance to it. I think EUs are more likely to pay a monthly subscription like twitch or patreon, than make single donation every now and then
I do agree on the spending on something physical. I don't go to any particularly big con, but even some artists can get a dozen people at a time buying something from them, even if it is a single print. If Holomerch was cheaper, I would totally buy something
