People are quick to point out some of the things she's done as malicious but the reality is that she has a tendency to do or say things without understanding how they'll be perceived or thinking about the consequences it'll have on herself and others. It's bad, definitely, but it's not malice on her part.
I genuinely believe that she did not understand what Zaion was going through. When she realized that the version of the story she got from her bipolar, emotionally unstable coworker didn't match up with the clean, corporate version she got from management, she thought she was lied to and decided to say she was "gaslit" without thinking about how it would affect perception of both herself and Zaion. I think her decision to say she was "gaslit" ultimately does feel like throwing Zaion under the bus, but I also think labeling Finana a backstabber is just as much of a tragic exaggeration as labeling Zaion a gaslighter was. The whole situation is just unfortunate and I hope things improve for Sayu
