>>61076575>What makes a good male streamerHaving a passion, being passionate, being decent at games or willing to get better at them if you're not, being consistent, being on time for streams, caring about your audience, and having some sort of professionalism even if you're a vulgar goofball.
>What are your favorite traits that you look for?Inspiring others. I like when a male vtuber is passionate about something and inspires me to reach my goals and do better in life. So pretty much any idol qualities. I like when men have masculine traits. So he's assertive, knows what he wants and sticks to it, and confident. A little bit of toxicity can come out (he's human after all) but just don't go over board. For example I don't mind a bit of toxicity in games, it shows passion and it can be sexy sometimes. I like when a guy owns what he does even if it's "embarrassing" or "cringe" to other people. I like when he's cool when playing video games like in Vox's broken sword Dark Souls run where he was toying with a boss or Flayon's banter with a tough boss during his Lies Of P streams. I REALLY love when guys are cool like that and it's almost an instant oshi for me. I want them to have some sort of passion, strong interest, or talent and display it on stream somehow. Nerdy interests are a must and I love tangents. I don't care what it is, talk about how much you love it. And love your fans. I cannot stress enough how important this is. A lot of vtuber fans are circlejerking yes-men but if you hate them it will show and you could lose your biggest most dedicated supporters. Your fans are a reflection of yourself so curate your audience to how you want them to be. And don't feel pressured to make every stream a super entertaining show. Some things can be chill and remember that your audience sometimes just love your presence and you doing whatever you want.
As for fanservice, pretty much what the other anon said. If you're gonna do it, don't overtly pander. Just do what you're comfortable with, and be sure of yourself if you want to do it so you don't regret it later. I do like when guys do some sort of fanservice whether it be BFE or light shipping with another guy. It's best to stick to one or the other though, but you can do BFE and have good chemistry with another guy and shippers will do the rest. And even if you fuck up a few times, don't worry about it too much. One of the main appeals of vtubers and why people keep relating them to idols is because of their growth. I like the journey of seeing them improve. Whether it be at games, voice acting, singing, etc. So don't be afraid to make mistakes.
