>>61170630I just watched the members stream for the first time, and observing Kronii and her chat, Kronii was very sympathetic to the unicorns even if she disagreed with them, while the chat was much less charitable. At this time the stance was that collabs would happen but the unicorns would be able to ignore this. In her own words at around the 29 minute mark "I'm not gonna initiate the collabs, nor am I gonna interact with them in public, maybe drop by the stream and go like 'Oh hey, nice'. but like not really Twitter [...] I won't really stream my perspective, I will join collabs though." Anyway at this point I can see where someone could feel betrayed by how events happened. It seemed like clear and fair boundaries were made but were disregarded pretty quick.
In the middle, there's some issue about how the schedule that would have alerted people of the male collab was delayed to manipulate people but I think it's pretty irrelevant.
Stuff kind of starts to change around the hour-twenty mark, however, when the chat starts talking about how ID doesn't get any flack and it goes way better over there by telling people to fuck off. Kronii says "That's so mean! (laughing) No (serious) that's interesting". About 15 minutes later she reads an excerpt from a book that basically says that the amount of care put into the relationship will eventually make it worse because they will worry about the relationship instead of enjoying the relationship, which is what the people who are so distraught at male collabs are doing. She then reiterates her position that she has nothing to be sorry about but she understands. But that's basically it from the members stream.
I am however missing the actual superchats and comments which does not allow me to understand how unreasonable the chatters were being. I am also missing the actual data on how many people are against male collabs.
My own personal conclusion is that I think Kronii is pretty compassionate but probably is very uncomfortable with fans infighting, and wanted her fans to get along. However, it seemed to be that the conflict is personal and a side has to be chosen. Those who were against collabs seemed to be the smaller side, so they were out, and the bridge was burned. I sympathize with her being put in a tough situation, but she switched up in one of the worst ways possible which I think was callous, at least compared to how she was in the members stream. It's been a year since and I will consider watching her if she's live and others I'd rather watch aren't, but I won't let her actions dictate how I feel, which is what she wants at the end of the day.
