Doesn't strike me as a good or bad development in itself, and there could be many factors (different microphone, adjusted voice changer to what she thinks is a more pleasant pitch now, voice adjusted after talking so much on a regular bases) which are completely devoid of bad intent.

While I appreciate Niji more than Hololive, its not without its autism. Either mandated or "recommended", a lot of the girls jumped on various voice fads as well. I can only assume Ange and Nui are just literally incapable of doing it so they stuck with their normal voices.
The EN side for example because its recent in my memory, until like last week Pomu had a perfectly normal laugh, now she pulled the generic dolphin garbage out.

She has developed a streaming voice for Towa she feels comfortable with. If you want to hear forced cutesy check out summer 2020. Sure it's more nasal now , but she is straining less to stay in character. It works for her.
Sure most overseas fans prefer her old voice but she never did go very out of her way to actively court her overseas audience even if she is super appreciative that they stuck around (the first months after her yab , every Japanese comment made her feel dread and every English one made her feel relief.) In the end though ,her main market always will be japan and I am happy that Japanese fans have been slowly discovering her for the last year.

It's funny when people bring up Ange in these conversations about "why does she get to keep her 'normal' voice when Towa had to pitch hers up", considering that Ange's real voice is quite high pitched. She just puts on a deep voice for her character.

I still can't stand her voice. I can't even watch any collab that has her in it. That half-assed nasal voice always makes me irritated. Not that I hate her, though she may be boring but thats not a reason to hate someone.
