Everything is produced and crafted, usually in very unflattering ways when you really look into it...
So who the fuck cares? Enjoy what you enjoy! Hell, you have more of a 1-to-1 connection with a V-tuber than you ever will a movie/anime character. Sure there's market research and directors that help decide things, but after a short while the girls very much fall into their own personality.
