Floyd had an enlarged heart from his years of drug abuse. The prosecution argued that his enlarged heart was because he was an "olympic level athlete" that was in such good shape, he could have survived the fent easily. A ridiculous argument that was, for some reason, taken seriously.
That manuever the cop used is literally taught in police training manuals and it's considered safe, in fact it's a way to avoid harming a struggling suspect.
Also the claim that he was racist falls apart when you look at the race of his wife.
