When the fans do the shipping it's fine, pretty much every fandom makes pairings that don't make sense. But even if the writers wanted to make some ships a thing in the actual show, they could at least have an effective way of going about it.

These two have as much chemistry as tap water and rain water. They’re so bland and the relationship was so forced they had to literally be coerced by an outside force into confessing their totally-natural, definitely-planned-from-the-beginning “love”.
If the writers were taking any prior characterization into account, the relationship wouldn’t last long anyway.
