Sure, independent VTubers can adjust their margins in order to spend a little more in tech, and they have the advantage of one-to-one interactions with their artists and riggers, but once you expand to a big pool of talent, costs add up, so you might as well go by with whatever's passable to the general public and divert resources on other money making opportunities, be it dealing with the chinks or by selling merch made by chinks.
Half of people in this thread don't really see the point of hi-spec avatars and would rather focus on the personality of the talent, so they don't really understand (myself included) why such a point of comparison is of merit. If your oshii can move her tongue, that's fine. You seem to like her for her aesthetics, and that's totally valid.
