what i'm saying is, amercians have a different perspective on it. plastic surgery isn't a hot button issue over here, its just something rich people get to do sometimes. will it be made fun of by some? yeah. will most people not care? also yeah. but its not that important. Kyo probably had no fucking idea that shizos like you exist to get extremely offended by the fact that flying to korea to get plastic surgery is a thing we westerners will sometimes do because it's the best in the world over there, and he probably had no intent on hurting people.
was he being the biggest fucking dumbass by not simply ignoring it or apologizing? yeah. but was he being racist? no. if anything he probably was simply speaking of a korean cultural taboo, which made some people uncomfortable sure. but he was not, in fact, discriminating on anyone for their race.
