More like it was probably being worked on for months and because it was already paid for and the artist put all that effort into it, might as well actually use it at least once in order to not piss the artist off by taking up time for literally-nothing in the end.

Vesper and Magni asked for someone else to get a redesign, management was already in a foul mood so it escalated into a huge fight, and both of them got fired. Tempus having a double termination would have damaged the brand so they acted like the double graduation was planned. Cover was clearly furious though and delayed the Tempus anniversary so they could remove them from the group merch/songs.

Money isnt the only thing an artist gets out of a comm; you also get clout by having something you made associated with a big Vtuber. Its why 2 views are always seething that artists ignore their comm requests

The artist was paid (or has a binding agreement) and usually expects some promotion coming from having his work shown by a largo corpo vtuber. Burying the outfit would only create problems and not solve them.

There are only three ways this can go:
1) She gets pulled into VShojo because she already has several friends in there
2) She redebuts as indie, but immediately becomes an orbiter because of her friends, possibly gets pulled in a year or two later anyway
3) She actually means that stuff she keeps saying about becoming a teacher, and thus is gone for good
...but really #3 would be colosally stupid thing to do because of money, so only 2 realistic scenarios here.
