This due to the fact they’re in a literal reverse-harem situation, as each of them is just another lovestruck dude amongst thousands of others. Every one of whom would love to actually get together with their respective oshi(s) if given the chance, despite full well knowing that if it were anyone other than themself, they would viciously persecute that individual to the ends of the earth.
