There's no secret, she goes away to work and then delivers new songs/mv/concerts/content, plus she doesn't completely, fully vanish she appears every now and then in other collabs or in twitter and such.

But what really helps is seeing the delivery, the results of actually doing off-stream work, can't generate resentment like that.

Marine "disappears", provides updates to her fans, then drops a concert/MV/something that shows she needed that time away (and on her own channel). Gura disappears, no updates, and breaks the disappearance with some collab on another channel, with no obvious reason why she needed to disappear for 2 months. The only explanation you'll ever see is some headcanon on /vt/.

i still like her but personally cant get interested in her current activity. she was actually the top tier streamer in holo jp, i was watching all her streams, but its obvious that she was burned out. her current game choices show it. she doesnt play her kind games and long ones anymore and also her collabs lack creativity compared to in the past. its very routinely now.

maybe casual fans and zoomers can be satisfied with something like tik-tok shit or celeb collabs like pekomari and dont give a fuck about other things.

I'd also just chalk it up to "gaming isn't my go to, i'd rather just chit chat and perform". Its fine. Then again, cover just sucks ass at getting permissions in general. They really need to up that department for once. I wonder if Marine would ever consider doing Elden Ring or Dark Souls, but its clear she'd never do it.

Given that this board whines so much about the shark, I think shorts and anything else is better than nothing. Laplus does shorts and those are great. Lui does shorts, and they're good. Chloe does shorts, and they work also.

When the level of effort ranges from Gura to Koyori you can't go "well they're not Gura so it's all good".
Almost everyone does shorts but they also stream on their own channel. The fact that Marine comes back and talks about her latest reason to not stream after uploading shorts every other day for weeks shows that even she knows it's not a valid substitute for content.

Senchou used to overwork herself to the point that her vocal chords started bleeding. I'm not kidding, the way she talks puts a massive strain on her throat and it was looking pretty fucking grim at one point. She had to have doctor to tell her to learn to take it easy or else her career would be over.
Nowadays she focuses on not self-destructing while still being extremely productive behind the scenes. She's a great woman and ichimi stick around a captain (more like pirate cosplayer) like her. That's how she does it
