>>6254917Gura, Ame and Mori were probably disappointed by blatant politicization of financial exploitation of the weeb space. Ame even expressed her frustrations on stream. Ina probably didn't care. She's been the chinks' personal draw fag for a while and presumably has more of a mercenary like attitude. I'd imagine even Kiara, despite not being a galaxy brain, could smell something rotten with milking idol fans to fund political extremism given that she actually seems to care about the genre.
Not sure about Lazulight, although I'd wager at least Pomu and fish weren't happy with AX either. Who knows what elira thinks. I don't watch her, so fuck if I know.
It may have been free real estate, but it was unironically a stain on the brands. If you're effectively advertising and fundraising for political organizations AS A CORPORATE VTUBER then you're NOT apolitical and NOT above being slammed for your political actions. Because we're not talking about beliefs at this point. Everyone has opinions. Private donations are also off limits. Let people have their own views. But the moment you start raising money for Communists, I'm afraid "muh corporate overlords made me do it" stops being a valid excuse. Even if I understand why they sold out, in the end they were the ones who chose to sell out and aren't above criticism.
Never gave a single cent to Niji or Cover. Never will. Simple as.
