Aquarium did fine. Error flopped because it was garbage. It took them months to make an awful unity asset game that ran like shit. VNs don't cost much to make and there seems to be a large Otomege audience in the west, so I'm not gonna stress that they're making one for homos instead of the girls. Just glad that there's now some support for some of these cooler games (namely the Furea Megaman style game)

Because the girls are the main face of Hololive, which means more collabs, events, sponsorships and even external deals. All things that require management be on top of their shit constantly.
The boys by contrast, have a much lighter schedule, which means managers are more free to do weird shit like this.
Also, being the smaller and less visible branch, it might be that Cover will be using them for weird experiments like these from now on, rather than risk another Hololive Alternative.

to be blunt, for a big company like cover, VNs should be really fucking easy to make, just pay one artist to draw some pictures, one writer to write dialogue, and one play tester to check for any typos or mistakes, that's literally it. So i'm willing to bet the main reason tempus got a VN before the actual hololive EN girls is because they were more open to the idea, I don't think the creation process is so difficult that it's inhibiting the girls from having one of their own, they probably just aren't super comfortable with it, whereas tempus is a flop so they don't really have much of a choice, they need all of the promotion they can get
