This. Notice how all the HoloEN are the "I'm not like the other girls" type. Normal girls outside of Japan don't become vtubers unless they're outcasted geeks that browse too much internet. Meanwhile in Japan, being a vtuber is seen as a gateway to the VA and anime industry, which are pretty ordinary career paths for men and women in Japan.
