>It's Friday night
>You've finished work, you've eaten dinner, you helped Shiori clean up
>You know what comes next, movie time
>You and Shiori have been swapping out taking turns choosing a movie to watch every Friday for a couple of months now
>This week you've picked something that's near and dear to your heart, but something she might not like
>You've popped the popcorn and grabbed a blanket and now snuggled up together on the couch with only the light from the television to illuminate the room you start watching the movie
>At first Shiori is disinterested, your heart falls a little because you were really hoping she'd push past her dislike for certain aspects and fall in love with it too
>You munch on the popcorn, occasionally the two of you reach out together, hands meeting in the bowl which causes you to look at Shiori as the two of you sheepishly grin
>As the movie proceeds you realize that Shiori is becoming more and more enthralled with it, she's asked you a few questions that she'd know the answer to if she payed more attention at the beginning, but you don't mind. You're just thrilled she's interested now
>When the love scene starts, you feel Shiori's arms wrap around you and hug you tightly, not bad if you do say so
>When the tragic part before the end happens, you feel Shiori grip your shirt and you put your hand over hers, letting her know everything will be alright
>And when the credits begin to roll, the happy ending the protagonist sought not quite turning out how he had hoped, but still being relatively good, you swear you see tears in the corner of Shiori's eyes.
>Reaching out and patting her head you kiss her softly and ask. "So, did you like it?"
>Shiori smiles, her yellow eyes melting your heart, "I did, more than I thought I would. Thanks for introducing me to this movie. Next week I'll have to choose something that's just as good as this was."
