Gura had to return to Atlantis. But she was going to miss marine. So she ate marine. Everything after she eats marine is just marine’s dying dream in a void. (Imo) That Gura signed off on this video further adds to her plan to graduate soon. I feel that the video would have been nice if they just said bye and no questionable stuff at the end. She just went ahead with whatever, no regard for her own image, because it doesn't matter anymore.

Gura don't start new big projects now as she's winding down her career, she was probably happy that Marine approach her, and that Marine offered to cover all the expenses just to buy Gura's voice for this specific track.

Marine wanted a duo song with Gura since the beginning. It was nice that it got realized before Gura leaves.

The dream sequence is soft with no background, then back to sharp reality with Gura swimming away alone. Marine's ship in the bottle is now lost at sea, with the credits also showing Gura being alone, swimming away.
Fits her mermaid dying by trying get legs story.
