>>63008721Shipfags are always at their most insane when the ship is imagined (basically somewhere between "confirmed" and "it's jork"/"crackship")
All the emotional investment and paragraph arguments is all a giant cope for the fact that they don't know if it's real, almost like they are trying to convince THEMSELVES, or at least convince so many others that they can forget all about that lingering doubt.
You see the same thing in the EN fandom. Takamori had a few trannies treating it as some kind of LGBT icon sure, but beyond that you never really saw people trying to convince themselves it was real. Same with Baerys, everyone knows it's a joke.
But GurAme is the prime example of something where they LARP the yuri just enough to trick a bunch of faggots into thinking there are real feelings involved, so you get copious amounts of paragraph posts by batshit insane people, not to mention the cumbuds shitting on Ame for not "reciprocating" Gura's feelings that are totally real
Anyway the same is true for regular fiction, ti's always "will they or won't they" speculation crap that makes people insane and invest emotionally, never the confirmed pairings.
