I saw some Day of the Dead skeletons in dresses in some of the footage of the trinkets which points to the cruise passing by Mexico. This is also backed up by her mentioning slothes which are almost entierly found in Central and South America and have long gone extinct in the actual Caribbean islands. South America does not have a large coastline in the Caribbean. So, she most likely took a cruise that started around Florida or Texas and sailed along the Mexican coastline.
