Mostly agreed. Feels like the streams were so much more fun back then but now everything feels so corporate. I just feel like the magic isn’t there anymore either compared to back then. Golden Age was 2016-2018. 2019 was the year a series of events happened that destroyed the Golden Age VTubers and led to the rise of Nijisanji and Hololive to become the current duopoly that rules over the VTuber landscape to this day.

Something I noticed about /vt/ is that it inverses most other boards. Night in America should usually be a comfy, higher IQ time. But /vt/ somehow becomes exponentially more retarded. Anyway the vtubing golden era was 2013 because vtubers didn't exist in any form we currently recognize, because once w*men and third worlders could larp as anime girls it all rolled downhill quickly from there.
