Vtuber AI and separation of character from talent

No.63119963 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Now that Cover is unironically experimenting with AI clones (yes, look it up), how would IP rights work?
What happens if a vtuber graduates and redebuts somewhere else, but Cover keeps using their voice? Imagine the talent moves on, but there's an AI version of their back at Cover corp. saying and doing other things? Technically the "Vtuber" is both the talent and the character, but these can also be separated, as evidenced by characters who had VA changes, like Kizuna Ai.

Should the voice be considered part of the character?
It could be a pretty sweet deal, imagine having an AI Sana or AI Gura who streams every day.
