>>6316159>a chance to recycle a draft post from a thread that got archived before I had the chance to submit itFuck yea- I mean listen here anon. Ame had her chance. She blew it. Ame is Gura's friend. That's the only reason she got in. She's also more reactive than proactive, responding to things rather than taking the initiative and adding her own rrats to the content. Not bad by twitch standards. Also not lazy. Also not antisocial. Her lack of star power only stands out when she's streaming side by side with the greats.
It's the same problem Sora, Roboco, Ayame, Mel, Choco, Towa, Watame, Kanata and the IDs sans Moona (who's well liked for her wholesome autism) and Ollie (who's rabidly disliked for her normie tier public railing) have. They're not bad steamers. It's just that some holos are really good at being standout entertainers.
Gura and Korone mog the shit out of most holos. Coco broke out so much they kicked her out before she could destroy the company. Aqua is the beloved socially awkward onion girl. Pekora is everyone's favorite war criminal. Even above average talents like Flare and the entirety of 5th Gen still struggle to reach those heights. EN buff aside, Ame just doesn't have what it takes to be a true frontrunner like them without a talent or god tier personality. And since her only talent appears to be streaming, she either needs to work on her personality or start doing more esoteric streams related to what she's good at and interested in.
Maybe Ame should start doing tech reviews or talking about the technical aspects of streaming as a holo. If being the IT girl is her niche then there's no reason not to lean into that completely and style her content accordingly. And let's be honest, who wouldn't laugh when a gadget doesn't work, she fails at troubleshooting, and she finally just claims the thing sucks. I'm actually surprised nobody's thought of this yet. Seems like an obvious direction for her character, unless all she wants to do is phone it in and play vidya all day.
As for Irys, a month will only be what she makes of it. If she has what it takes then she'll do well. Otherwise we'll all pity and laugh at her for not living up to the brand that got her a 250k sub leg up. At this point, there's no excuse for not being able to come up with interesting, character defining content unless you haven't been paying attention to the streaming space for the past 10 years. If she turns out to be a bust then being someone else's sidekick is unironically the best she can hope for. Who do you think it'll be? Reine or Ina?
