It was probably the last straw situation. Other girls were doing it as well(shiori and nene as an anon said). And management decided to out right ban it.
Before it was usually gloves and long sleeves with the occasional accident. It's possible they were worried if they didn't draw a line some girls like mori would just keep trying to push how far they can go.

I'm more inclined to believe that they saw an influx of bare handed streams, got worried about current/future hires not matching their character's skin tone and put an abrupt end to showing skin, which is somewhat reasonable, but they should have thought about that way before. Kiara asked for clarification beforehand and back then what she was told was that as long as you don't have a tattoo, a scar, a birthmark or something along those lines that could lead to the talent being identified or breaking kayfabe, it was fine. Mori is actually like 6-8 inches taller than Kiara as well so it would be odd that her hands weren't bigger. I don't know their exact heights, but I know Mori is actually taller than her 5'6'' model, I've seen estimates around 5'9'' and Kiara said once she was too short to be a flight attendant when she tried and the height limit was something like 5'2'' for that.

Naw, she even mentioned being mistaken for a middle schooler before. That's probally why she was so self-conscious about her hands during the stream, Mori is much taller and her hands were just barely bigger than her's, but IRyS is who is much closer to Kiara's size had small slim hands. Hand size is a meme anyways, unless you are like 350lb your hands don't change much.

Cover owns the models not the talents and are probably unhappy when the fanbase starts attaching themselves to the roommate and not the avatar.
