>>63277569It would be unironically kino if when ReGloss gets merged into the main branch they do an isekai kayfabe where they were normal idols and then suddenly woke up in HoloEarth or whatever fantasy setting of choice, and get new costumes where each of them start to take on RPG classes.
It also kind of ties into my based on nothing rrat that when they talked about being singing and dancing focused, what they actually plan is to have them be the test branch for HoloEarth content. You wouldn't want your big names to spend a ton of time on it while it's still getting developed and tested and getting the kinks worked out, but you do need some kind of draw to bring in an audience to test the servers. From that perspective, it makes sense to create a new group focused on doing performances, but not tie them up with some of the other obligations and expectations of a full on new generation. And it's not like it's a bum deal for ReGloss either, it would mean they're getting their 3d models and concerts fast tracked compared to a normal gen. It even ties into the DEV_IS branch name, where the device in question is a VR headset, which I'm pretty sure they've talked about as an option for Holoearth.
