Why are artists such protective faggots? No one cares that you drew that random nonsense. Only companies care what you can do, and only the worst ones look at social media metrics for successful artists. The other ones just judge on your talent.
All of this will be irrelevant anyways in 5 or so years. Then we will finally be rid of the "artist" constantly whining about people "stealing" or whatever the fact. Those two designs don't even look all that similar.

Yeah as someone who takes commissions the artist was probably shown the og design for inspiration and didn't change anything about the creature. Which is something you should not do no matter how unknown you think the artist is, it will lead to annoying situations.
